Can Salvation be lost in the future?
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to
those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh but
according to the Spirit.
Luk 12:15 And He said to them, Watch and keep
yourselves from covetousness. For a man's life is not in the abundance of the
things which he possesses.
Yes. Salvation can be lost on the following Biblical grounds:
1. IF WE HAVE FALLEN AWAY.
Heb 6:4 For it is
impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly
gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
Heb 6:5 and have tasted
the good Word of God and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6 and who have fallen away; it is impossible, I say, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify the Son of God afresh to themselves and put Him to an open shame. From the above verses in Hebrews 6:4-6, those are the people who were once enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, tasted the Word of God and the powers to come — therefore were saved. All those mentioned are proofs that they were saved. In verse 6, but have fallen away and being fallen away is tantamount to lost from the saving grace of God.
2. IF
WE SIN WILLFULLY
Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have
received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 but a certain fearful looking for judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 3. IF WE WILL NOT ENDURED TO THE END
Mat 24:13 But he that endureth to the end, the same
shall be saved.
1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,
SEVEN LETTERS TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES – Promises, commendations, warnings, call for repentance to the believers.
Study the 7 letters of our Lord Jesus to the 7
churches in Revelation Chapter 2 to chapter 3 and notice the following:
Act 8:3 But Saul laid waste the church, entering into
every house, and dragging men and women committed them to prison.
Who are those men and women whom Saul (Paul) persecuted in Jerusalem that is called the “Church”? Are all men and women grouped together are called church? NO. Those people that were persecuted by Paul in Jerusalem are those who BELIEVED IN JESUS CHRIST. That was the testimony of Apostle Paul when he became a Christian and related his experiences in having a conversation to the Lord Jesus ...
Act 22:19
And I said, Lord, they know that I was imprisoning and beating those who
believed on You throughout the synagogues.
It is clear that those who are in the church are those who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. They are saved people and in spite of their condition of being saved they were warned to repent otherwise corresponding punishment of condemnation will follow.
But one should notice that the 7 letters to the 7 Churches contains warnings and rebuking statements from Our Lord Jesus, with the exemption of the Church in Smyrna (Rev. 2:8-11) and the Church in Philadelphia (Rev. 3:7-11).

WORST THAN THE FIRST
Through the full knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a
Christian escaped the pollution of the world.
Meaning being in Christ, a person have a new life to live. We were born again by the Word of God
1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible
seed, but of incorruptible, through the living Word of God, and abiding
forever.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly,
truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you,
Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom
of God.
2 Peter 2:20 For if they have escaped the pollutions of
the world through the full knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and
are again entangled, they have been overcome by these, their last things are
worse than the first.
2 Peter 2:21 For it would have been better for them not to
have fully known the way of righteousness, than fully knowing it, to turn from
the holy commandment delivered to them.
2 Peter 2:22 But the word of the true proverb has happened
to them: The dog turning to his own vomit; and, The washed sow to wallowing in
the mire.
CONCLUSION OF THE MATTER:
1 Peter 2:2 desire the sincere milk of the Word, as
newborn babes, so that you may grow by it; (KJV)
Mat 7:24 Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:
Mat 7:25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.
Therefore, the person who thinks
he is standing securely
should watch out that he does not
fall.
